The "ruling pack" of New Orleans, it was founded by Sabbat Archbishop Ambròs Vicario upon the Embrace of his first childe. Its purpose has always been to control the city of New Orleans and surrounding areas. After Vicario's destruction, leadership of the pack fell to his eldest childe Paul Delacroix, who has accepted the first non-Lasombra members into it in order to try and win back the power held by the pack at its height, prior to his sire's demise. The pack's influence has always been centered around economic and political control, but of late they have taken a slightly militaristic bent, in order to protect the pack from violence such as that which claimed Vicario. Currently, this pack represents the single largest block of economic power in the Cainite population of Louisiana, and has significant sway in political circles as well.
The pack has no priest, a fact which draws criticism from more conservative members of the sect. Delacroix himself leads what rites they practice, which are generally few. This is one of the main points which Malena hopes to use against it, but it has also drawn quiet respect from the less religious or mystically inclined among them. In particular, their creation rites generally involve subtle tests of the candidate's ruthlessness, skill, and ingenuity.
