Delilah's bloodline is all over the map, with Native American, Creole, and Scottish influences prominent. It has turned out to be a potent mix, however, as her mystical abilities reflect. It started with her Haitian aunt, who filled her head with stories of voodoo and magic while her single mother worked. Nothing much came of it until a college experience with a Ouija board convinced her that there was something to it and she took an active interest. As befits her blood, her interests were all over the place, from Shamanism to Kabbalah to Santeria. She had a knack, however, for making things work, regardless of the source, and this eventually drew Martin's attention when he witnessed her in action after being told of a 'psychic' in Houma who seemed to be the next Marie Laveau.
Without hesitation, he kidnapped the girl and pulled what he needed to know out of her mind. Impressed at her diversity, he Embraced her and introduced her to the chantry. Deliliah would probably think less of him and her current state if not for her fascination with him. The blood bond, for whatever reason, took particularly well with her and she is passionately in love with him. That, and the chance to really become a witch is appealing in and of itself. The problem, of course, is the Richardsons. She is intensely jealous of the both of them and would give just about anything to remove them from the picture. Not being particularly good at politics, her methods of expressing this are a bit juvenile, and hardly a threat to the older apprentices. She is learning, however, and the time may come that she will be able to move against them.
Delilah was a much strong person prior to the Embrace, but the power and weight of her Blood Bond has subjugated her will to Martin and the resultant obsession has robbed her of much of her former savvy. She is still a very attractive and witty woman, though, and the mix of her education and quick mind make her very interesting to talk to. While she has an inferiority complex in regards to the other apprentices, the fact of the matter is that she has some gifts they lack and it actually better educated on the occult than they. She is also progressing at a faster rate and the time will come, if the Richardsons don't flee first, that she will surpass them in power.
As noted, she is deeply, obsessively in love with her mentor and has a deep hatred and jealousy of the other apprentices. This has made her stay at the chantry a living hell, for the most part, and the tortures the elder apprentices inflict upon her for their own enjoyment haven't helped the situation. Martin is too oblivious to have noticed the gravity of it, but as the twins become more of a problem, he has focused more attention on the youngest apprentice, which has inadvertantly helped to diffuse things a little, of late.
Delilah has only met Julia on a couple occasions and finds that she likes the woman, despite her jealousy (which is cooled somewhat at the Ancilla's current disfavor with Martin). She's never met her childe but still knows little enough about the Sabbat to be in awed horror at the thought of someone joining them. She sees it a bit like selling your soul to Satan (which is pretty much how Martin explained it).
Deliliah really hasn't met many of the other kindred in the area. Those she has both terrify her and intrigue her. Esteve, in particular, awes her and, were her love not forced towards Martin, she might even develop a crush for the lonely Brujah.
