This is a summary of the major bloodlines extant in the Louisiana region, organized from oldest to youngest. Links are provided where a member has been detailed within these pages. Note that only members that have or had a presence in the area are listed. Other childer may exist that have no bearing and so are not included. Antitribu are marked with an A.
The Lasombra of New Orleans are all descended from the Albigensian saint Malena, who was born of the Cainite Heretics of the Languedoc. The Sabbat half of the bloodline dwells in New Orleans while the antitribu are in Galveston. Neither branch supports the religious beliefs of the bloodline's founder, who relies on her cult and followers recruited from other clans to further her legacy. In truth, the bloodline is more Vicario's than Malena's.

The Brujah of Louisiana are mostly descended from Orlando's childe, Callough Motley, whose brood attempted to seize New Orleans from the Lasombra during the Civil War. Those that remain of his blood have sided with the Sabbat, their loyalty to the Camarilla shattered by their sire's defection and their grandsire's willingness to sacrifice them to his vision. Only Esteve remains loyal and none survive of his blood due the ravages of constant conflict.

The Ventrue of Louisiana are all descended from Robert Landau, but his is but a branch of a larger bloodline prominent in the Southwest. Founded by a Spanish nobleman Embraced and sent to the Americas to secure Camarilla interests in the Spanish colonies therein, he eventually Embraced two childer to help him in his work. The first was a Spanish priest whom he sent to Mexico to combat the Sabbat threat there. The second was an American who he tasked with establishing a stronghold against Sabbat incursions from the south. Killian established Houston to serve his sire's purpose but when his blood brother returned from his quest, he was a changed man. He presented himself to his sire and announced that he had joined Caine's Sword, then diablerized him and set himself up to oppose Killian. Since then, the two have battled from their seats in Houston and Dallas with the viciousness that only family can muster.

The first of the two Tzimisce elders who migrated to the Louisiana bayou with the French Acadians in the 18th century was a secretive Koldunic sorcerer who has tried to limit his family's involvement with the politics of the Lasombra in New Orleans so that he may quietly pursue his research in peace. He's only been partially successful, losing most of his line to wars with the Camarilla when they've meddled in his family's affairs. Despite his isolationism, his family (an offshoot of the Zantosa) has managed to establish a very impressive intelligence network in the region that far outstrips anything any other local kindred has managed.

The second of the elders is tied to her own revenant family, this one a French branch of the Bratovich, which she dominates to the point of manic totalitarianism. Obsessed with the continuation of her mortal bloodline, she has thus far been too paranoid about retaining control to produce much progeny, content to keep only her two watchdogs, Gil and Gui, and rely on her revenants for everything else. Her branch is even more insular than the other, its members rarely venturing beyond their home in Lafayatte. Their main contact with the outside world is through the Prejeans and the other Tzimisce's intelligence network.

Legba, the progenitor of the Serpent bloodline in New Orleans, is also the source for the Serpents in Haiti. His brood there is more extensive, while his line in Louisiana is limited to New Orleans. Currently, the two halves of his bloodline work to keep his attention on the other side, hoping to gain a level of autonomy from their founder. Similarly, the two branches fracture as his direct progeny war amongst themselves for control over them. All in all, the Serpents of Haiti are a fractous lot.

The Toreador have had an interest in New Orleans since it ascended out of the swamp and established itself as one of the foremost cities of culture in the United States. Unfortunately, efforts by the Camarilla clan to infiltrate the city have resulted in catastrophic failure, such that the only Toreador which exist in the city are antitribu. The rest of the local bloodline is based out of Houston, but unlike the Ventrue, they are not as interested in the war with Dallas as they are with the efforts to reclaim New Orleans. They are the source of much of the pressure to replace Orlando as Prince of Baton Rouge, citing his inability to make any headway in the war.

The Tremere have never had a strong presence in Louisiana. All attempts by the clan to infiltrate New Orleans have run up against the domination of voodoo by the Serpents and all agents have met messy ends. Thus, the clan's headquarters in Louisiana is Dark Water Chantry in Lake Charles, a good distance from the territory rigorously patrolled by the Acadian Sabbat, yet close enough to allow them to meddle in the war and offer support to Baton Rouge. The entire bloodline at Dark Water descends from Martin LaSalle, the founder of the chantry. The modesty of his success in Louisiana has left his brood to their own devices.
