The tapestry of fae in New Orleans is rich and varied. Because of its
dynamic nature, I find it hard to have a well updated section on the web
page entailing what kiths I will and will not accept. The majority of the
MUSH is unseelie, including the nobility. This is by no plan of mine, but
reflects the IC actions and some very excellent RP. I have a brilliant
sphere through no fault of my own, but because of the players that make it
up. |
| I will however, detail here what I am looking for in an
app. I want to
know about the person you propose to play. How she grew up, how he
chrysalised, what happened afterwards. I want to get to know s/he, and I
want the background to make sense. A background that is quickly slapped
together is usually one that makes no sense, or is boring to read. I'm not
looking for novels, just something with quality. I also accept kiths that aren't in the books. Simply bring the concept up to me, and write it up the way it's formatted in the main book, complete with frailties, and boons. So far I've had a Sylph (the non inanimae kind), a Centaur, and a Dragon apped for me. |
| THEME: The sphere tends to be very PC driven with staff support. Most plots are started in character by the players, and any staff plots are usually very long term. Many plots are very personal to each character, and I take backgrounds into account, especially with a chrysalis. There is a very strong commoner base with liberal views; not many commoners join noble courts in positions such as steward or reeve, and honestly I'd like to see more commoner apps for people who support the nobility. There is a good deal of political roleplay, but at a basic level. The real intrigue actually comes from the commoners, and there isn't a big Sidhe presence. |
| I don't use exact rulings from all the books, tending instead towards using that creative license they tell a storyteller to adopt. My cantrip rules as of this moment are a blending of first edition and the player's guide rules (even though I detest the PG). I don't use the metaplots, and sometimes make up my own merits and flaws. This doesn't mean that we're playing an unrecognizable game on CC, it's still Changeling: The Dreaming. If you're a player who likes a strict rules interpretation, please, don't bother to app for me, you'll only get frustrated, and frustrate me. |
| There is also a considerable backstory as of now. It might help to read this story, as it will give you some idea of what's going on in the sphere when you get there. Many characters app people who have lived in the city for some time, and this story will help them also. You can find the story link below, along with the other links. |
